What was the inspiration behind this cocktail?

I wanted to make a tropical Manhattan. Essentially, something that could be enjoyed as a summer boozy cocktail as opposed to more fall/winter.

How do you think of new ideas for cocktails?

I definitely utilize the already impressive talent pool of mix-masters here in NYC. I’m always going to new cocktail bars for inspiration and ideas.

Where is your favorite spot in the city right now?

Mace, a wonderful cocktail bar in the East Village. They have an innovative, ground-breaking approach to their cocktail menu.

If you could guest bartend in any other city, where would you go?

Maybe Vegas?

Right now my wife and I are obsessed with The Keepers. It’s a documentary series currently streaming on Netflix.
